After extensive clinical trials FDA approved Metronidazole – Flagyl and can be administered orally, topical or
intravenously. In oral form, it is absorbed and passes in traffic
where it has a half-life of 6 to 8 hours. The drug enters the
cerebrospinal fluid. Treatment by Metronidazole crosses the
placental barrier; it must be used with caution during pregnancy. In
the US, there was a contra-indication in the 1st quarter, unless no
other treatment was available.
Metronidazole – Flagyl is an antibiotic and anti-owned
nitroimidazoles. The pill after ingestion inhibits the synthesis of
nucleic acids and is used for the treatment of infections associated
with anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It is effective against, among
others: Giardia, lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, Clostridium
difficile, Trichomonas vaginalis and Helicobacter pylori.
Metronidazole is used in the treatment of colitis pseudomenbraneuses,
which is why you can find it in combination with other antibiotics
such as macrolides family may cause this type of disease.
Metronidazole as an antibiotic is also prescribed for the treatment
of Rosaceae (type Erythrogel or Rozagel) and télangiéctasies.
Metronidazole – Flagyl mainly been used in women with risks
of preterm child birth. The risks associated with this medicine
include some fetus related complexities.
